Signs Your Diesel Truck Needs Diagnostics Right Away
A check engine light is your truck's way of telling you something is wrong before it strands you. Ignoring it is one of the most expensive mistakes a fleet or owner-operator can make.
Here are the symptoms that mean it's time to get into the shop today: amber or red warning lights, a sudden drop in power (derate), a check engine light combined with rough running, repeated failed regens, hard starts, and excessive black or white smoke.
Most of these issues are inexpensive to fix when caught early. The same fault left alone can take out injectors, an EGR cooler, or in the worst case a turbo or piston. Get scanned the first day the light comes on, not the day you break down on I-90.
